Lundø Residency September 2024

Nyskaben hosted a 3 week residency on Lundø for 3 international artists that work with the ecological topic of “hypoxia”: Mateja Rot, Karol Wójcicki and Chloe Girardeau.

The residents worked and lived in Lundø from September 9 to September 30 2024.
In the first week of the residency, the artists visited the Animation Festival in Viborg and attended several network events (called “mixers”). In week 2 the host facilitated, in collaboration with the local activist group Baeredygtig Nordfjens 2040, a public event in the communal centre of Lundø to inspire the residents and local community on the topic of hypoxia. In week 3 a second public event was organised in the communal centre of Lundø wherein the residents shared their research, showing a prototype of the artwork they are developing.
